 Developed to Reduce Backup Coats While Increasing Shell Strength and Flexibilty
DELUXCOTE concentrate is a backup binder uniquely formulated to build thicker, stronger, more flexible individual shell coats. With this revolutionary new technology, fewer coats are required to build a shell that withstands the stresses of handling, dewax and pouring. Even with fewer backup coats, Deluxcote binder builds
a shell that is stronger than shells built using existing specialty backup binders. Adjusted Fracture Load (AFL) measurements combine both shell strength and
thickness attributes. When compared to existing binder systems, the Deluxcote shell at 3 coats offers similar green AFL measurements as those of existing specialty backup binders at 5 coats. Processing time is decreased as shell coats are reduced and neither shell strength or thickness are compromised.
By building a more flexible shell, DELUXCOTE concentrate eliminates or reduces the amount of
dewax cracking that occurs even though fewer total coats are used! When tested against existing backup binder systems, Deluxcote binder provided the best resistance to cracking.
Significant reductions in dewax cracking have been seen with a wide variety of part configurations,
including tubular or cylindrical parts; flat surfaced parts; and parts with tight detail.
