The FlashFire Dewax System uses heat to quickly purge wax from the shell. Wax begins to drain
within seconds after the oven door is closed. Unlike traditional dewax methods, there is little opportunity for the wax pattern to expand and put pressure on the shell during its change to
liquid phase. As a result, shell cracking is virtually eliminated and there is no need to cut vents in the shell to relieve pressure build up.
The wax drains under the bed of the oven and there is no water involved in quenching any flames
from potentially burning material. As a result, when it escapes from the unit (through piping in the side), it is moisture free and ready for reclaim.
Dewax is complete in 10 minutes and burnout in under 20 minutes. Shells may then be taken to
a higher temperature and poured directly from the FlashFire Dewax System or removed and reheated at a later time for pouring.
Pacific Kiln offers three models of their patented FlashFire Dewax System. To determine which is right for your foundry’s needs, complete the Pacific Kiln FlashFire Dewax Questionnaire and return it to us for a quotation.
